Garth Cottage is perfectly placed for visitors to three great natural beauty spots in Britain. Sitting in Symonds Yat, right on the banks of the River Wye, the cottage borders the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Forest of Dean and South Herefordshire.
There is much to see and do here, from sightseeing around the many castles and abbeys in the area, which is also a bird-watcher's paradise, through to walks in the glorious countryside. These can be as gentle or as challenging as you like and the long experience we have in the area means that there is plenty of advice on choosing the perfect day out for you.
If you prefer an active break, the canoeing and water sports on the river Wye is in full swing by then, there is climbing, cycling, horse riding and miles of rambling within a stone's throw of Garth Cottage.
